Founded in 2010, until 2016 Holt Vinyl Vault was the only record shop anywhere in the world to be located within a working post office, offering a unique combination of premium bonds and Graham Bond (as in 'The Sound Of 65', as fans of sixties British beat will know). The Vault was featured regularly in the local and national press, and given prominent mention in the Tim Burgess book Vinyl Adventures From Istanbul to San Francisco.
Sadly for post office fans, that part of the business left the Vault in late 2016, at which point Post Office morphed into Punk Office, spawning a second range of T shirts, and since then the Vault has gone from strength to strength, drawing visitors from across the UK and well beyond our borders. It is regularly featured in the EDP and was given a substantial write-up in the Graham Jones book The Vinyl Revival & The Shops That Made It Happen.
An old-school record shop without an associated online shop, the Vault is a haven for collectors, enthusiasts, DJs and everyone who likes to hear recorded music the way it should be heard - on vinyl.
